kiddos

attempting to get two teenagers and two little nuggets to pose for a picture is a feat in itself

spent the day with my nephew and nieces yesterday. i can't believe how big these kiddos are getting! i'm not sure if i'm more upset about the fact that they're getting older, or that them getting older means i'm getting old! i took them to lunch, miniature golfing, and spent a couple of hours in the arcade. 

after four hours with this group reminded me that mothers are miracle workers (i mean...how does anyone drive with four little mouths yapping in your ear all at once?) and i can wait a pretty long time to have littles of my own.

it takes me some time to get the hang of things, but i've finally figured out how to add photos to my posts again. yay! so i'm finally posting pictures from last week when my sister celebrated her 40th birthday. sadly i didn't get a photo of my mommy in her sassy blue dress - but she rocked it and looked sexy and i still can't believe she has a daughter that's 40.

my family means the world to me - and any excuse to have us all together with food and music and lots of laughs, makes me one very happy lady.



my niece turns twelve!

i can't believe how quickly she's turned twelve! twelve! my goodness, she's nearly a teenager!

 

i'm so lucky to be an auntie to such a beautiful, caring, and talented young lady.

now...i just have to remind her to ease up on the boy crushes (golly! we really are related).

a birthday

today is my older sister lullette's birthday!

i'm so lucky to have two incredibly loving, caring, hilarious older sisters

and today, we'll celebrate one of them.

 thank you for all the bedtime stories,

the right-handed penmanship on late homework assignments,

the countless baths after play time,

the swimming lessons (which uh...we might need to discuss),

and for tucking me in (and petting me) to sleep every night when i was little.

the best part is, i get to watch you do the exact same things with your two beautiful daughters.

you are an incredible mother and an equally wonderful sister.

i love you more than you can ever imagine and i'm so lucky to be your little sister.

i can't believe you're already nine years old today!

it seems like just yesterday we were all at the hospital waiting to meet you for the first time. when you were born, i figured i already had the "auntie" thing down - and pretty much considered myself a professional in the babysitting and diaper changing department - i just couldn't wait for a brand new baby to hold.

you are growing up to be such an intelligent, loving, generous little girl and i'm so greatful to be your auntie.
