#8 go camping

...well...maybe not so much. camping will have to wait until later this summer - because this birthday i plan on being fabulous and surrounded by 40(+) of my closest friends.

i've had a major girl crush on fiona apple since freshman year in high school -so much so that jessica and i got matching tattoos of a lyric from 'criminal'. 

now if i could just stop eating all my extra money and actually buy tickets to this concert, i would be one happy happy gal.

same book, different chapters; but it's too damn good for me to put down.

happy daddy's day

when i was a little girl, i would crawl  into the driver's seat and pretend to drive whenever you would leave me in the car with my sister. i never understood how your arms could reach all the way to the steering wheel and how your feet could reach the pedals on the floor. you were the biggest, strongest, bravest man i knew - and even to this day you still are (although...i've definitely caught up to you in height!).

for conversations that are better than the dinner,
a successful laca expo,
homemade steak and eggs for breakfast (but just like in the restaurant, i still don't eat the eggs),
cd's played on repeat,
and double shot upon double shot of espresso.

because the work week is my weekend

i made an appointment at the dmv for wednesday at noon, then promptly left the house just shortly after 12:15PM. i never said i was on time to anything but social events. 

the line at the dmv was so outrageous that it left me running to mommy

(literally. but just to say hello). the new driver's license will just have to wait until next week.

spent the rest of wednesday afternoon lounging at the beach in santa monica (finally! summer is in la) followed by burgers at umami, then speeding back to west hollywood for dinner at the thompson.

dinner before dinner? yes please.

lastly, fredo and i caught adam's show at the good hurt back on the westside - which in itself was entertaining, but even more so when fredo fell off my skateboard flat onto his ass.

(sorry fredo, is it too soon to laugh?)

thursday was spent poolside with gina - where i (re)learned that i do in fact sunburn, then happy hour and laughing so hard that i couldn't breathe.

spending so much time with my favorite people has this girl feeling like her heart just might explode from happiness.

 and ya know something?

 i wouldn't change that for the world.

#65 take a vacation alone

thank you virgin america for screwing up back in november!

while scouring through the stacks of old emails

(okay...maybe i hoard old emails and maybe i still have a hotmail account)

i found that i have 5000 elevate points to use toward a round trip flight anywhere virgin america flies.

how does portland, oregon sound?

well, considering this will be the vacation i take alone - i guess the only person to ask, is me -

and the city of roses sounds quite lovely.

here's hoping to check two more things off this ol' bucket list!

now...i just need to keep talking myself out of visiting the city by the bay
